ALL MUSIC AND LYRICS BY CARRIE JEAN SOOTER

Pink Boots

(This song came while waiting for the 1 train at the14th street station in NYC. The platform was grey, cold and stinky and so was I, quite frankly. And then... a splash of color... there went the hottest pink boots I had ever seen...)

Home

(A friend of mine was doing an art project. The teacher asked them to paint what "home" means to them. I loved the idea and decided I should do it in a song...)

Somewhere Between

(The song lasted but the guy didn't! Written on a hot summer night after a chance meeting over Connect Four...)

If You Leave Her, I'll Leave Him

(I was dishing with a friend about the ongoing courtship of Johnny Cash and June Carter, even while they were with other people. Somebody said, "If You Leave Her, I'll Leave Him. Now that's a country song waiting to happen!" It needn't wait any longer.)

This Little Girl (Has Got the Blues)

(Written during the worst summer of my life! Luckily, having the blues means more fodder for the music.)

Right Here

(My friend Carrie thought this should be the name of the album...)

Keep On

(This came on a spring day, walking from 86th street to 79th. In New York, a woman tends to get catcalled and hissed at from time to time, no matter what you look like. Before I bought my ipod, it was enough to prompt a song.)

Lonely Saturday

("I said I loved you but I didn't think you'd call my... bluff...")

Hottie-Patottie

(As apposed to cutie-patootie...)

I Got Needs

(Everybody got needs!)

To the Moon

(I felt one of my first songs should be the last on the record. I wrote this while watching the Honeymooners around 2 in the morning in my tiny studio...)
